You can become a Certified Autism Specialist by meeting these eligibility requirements:
- Earned a Master's degree (or a bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience) in special education, education, educational psychology, psychology, human development, early childhood education, speech/language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, or a closely related field.
- Have two years of experience working in a field that treats or supports individuals on the autism spectrum.
- Complete the 21 autism courses included in this package.
- Pass the online Autism Certification Competency Exam provided by the International Board for Credentialing and Continuing Education Services (IBCCES).
