About the eLearning Platform

The Master Teacher eLearning Platform, a tablet and mobile-friendly website, delivers role-specific professional development training for your school or district. As courses are completed, a personalized transcript is automatically generated, recording completion dates, course scores, and other relevant details under your name.

Taking Courses

Upon logging in, you will arrive at the "My Dashboard" page. To access your courses, click the appropriate content library.

User Manual

Once the content library is selected, you will see the courses on the right side of the screen. Courses can be filtered by topic on the left side of the Dashboard screen.

In the example image below, the user is in the Paraeducator Online Training content library and has filtered their course list to the "Content - Title I Highly Qualified" courses.

These 13 courses assist in preparing for the Highly Qualified Assessments. Under each course description, you can see an estimate of that course's duration.

User Manual

To begin a course, click the blue play button to the right of the course information.

User Manual

Click Next in the lower right corner of the screen to navigate through the course.

User Manual

At the end of each course is a posttest; you must pass this to complete the course.

Once you receive a passing score (this will be set by your administrator), the course will be marked as complete and added to your transcript.

Your first passing score will be recorded on your transcripts.

**You can go back and review the course material at any time while you have access to your online training.**

Transcripts/Course Certificates

To view your completed course certificates or to print your transcripts, click My Transcripts in the left navigation pane.

You can view each course certificate by clicking View under each course listed.

User Manual

To print your course list, click Download Transcript in the upper right corner of the screen.

Special Instructions for Paraeducator Online Training

When you purchase the Paraeducator Online Training content library, you also gain access to a set of practice assessments.

These practice assessments help you prepare to take the official assessments with your administrator at your school or district.

The practice and the official assessments can be found by clicking Assessments - Title I Highly Qualified on the left side of the course list.

For official assessments, you are allowed to use scratch paper but cannot use notes or a calculator.

Setting Up the Assessments

To take the two official assessments to highly qualify, you must have a proctor present in the room with you. The designated proctor will set up the testing sessions for you.

What is a proctor?

A proctor is a person who monitors individuals during an examination. The proctor is present during the entire assessment to ensure that assessment guidelines are being followed.

Before the proctored session, the proctor must read the guidelines to familiarize themselves with the rules and regulations for the assessment.

Taking the Assessments

Once your testing session has been set up with your designated proctor, you will meet with them at the agreed-upon date and time. You will log in just as you did to take the courses and practice assessments. From your dashboard, find the assessments by clicking Assessments on the left side of your screen.

User Manual

Then, select PARA Assessment 1 or PARA Assessment 2 (highlighted below) to begin.

User Manual

Once all sections of the assessment are complete (three sections for Assessment 1 and seven sections for Assessment 2), click Grade Exam.

**You must pass both assessments to highly qualify.**

Finding Your Certificate

After completing and passing both assessments, your certificate will be sent to your email automatically. You will also be able to access your certificate from your dashboard.

1. Go to My Certificates and click Download Certificate. A PDF version of your certificate will download for you to save a copy or print for your records.

User Manual

From this screen, you will also be able to see a more detailed view of your testing session by clicking Show Scores.

User Manual

If you do not pass the assessments, please contact your proctor to discuss the possibility of retaking them. The proctor will need to allow a retake if the session is still open or set up a new testing session for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if there are no courses listed when I log in to my account?

Confirm with your administrator that your information has been set up for program access. If not, your administrator can either add your information or contact The Master Teacher support team for assistance. Ensure you are using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as your browser.

Why is there a red asterisk (*) under some course descriptions, and why are those courses also highlighted?

The asterisk/highlight indicates that your administrator has marked the course as required. Any courses that have been marked as required will appear at the top of your course list.

Why did I miss a question that has the answer I chose marked in green, but the question marked in red?

This is a question that has multiple correct answers. The green means that you got part of the answer correct but need to select the other correct answer(s) to get the question correct.

How can I see which courses I have completed?

To view the courses you have completed, click My Transcripts in the left navigation pane. You will see a date range underneath My Transcripts at the top of the page. Click the date range and select All Time to view all completed course transcripts.

What if I took a course and it is not showing on My Transcripts?

Adjust the current date range filter when reviewing your transcripts. Locate the date range underneath My Transcripts at the top of the page, click it, and select All Time to view all completed course transcripts.

What is the recommended browser for The Master Teacher eLearning Platform?

Preferred browsers are Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Internet Explorer and Microsoft may experience issues as they do not communicate well with the website.

What if I forgot my password?

Click the Forgot your password? link on the login page. Enter your email address, and click Submit. You will receive an email from support@masterteacher.com with a link to create a new password.

What does the message, "Token is invalid" mean?

A. Your invitation either expired or you were sent multiple invitations without the previous ones being cleared out. You or your administrator can contact the support team at The Master Teacher by calling 888-233-8469 or emailing support@masterteacher.com so that we can resend your invitation.

B. You already accepted your invitation, so this one is no longer active. If you already accepted your invitation, go to https://portal.masterteacher.net and log in with your username (email address) and the password you created.

I retook a course. Why is it showing as completed but not showing my score or certificate?

The course needs to be reset from being completed previously. You will need to contact your administrator to make that request.

What is the “Passwordless Login”?

If you click the “Passwordless Login,” it will prompt you to enter your email into a box and click Submit. An email will be sent to you with a 4-digit code that you can now enter on that screen to access your account.
